The closing ceremony of the Fifth International Documentary Film Festival on Human Rights "Bir Duino Kyrgyzstan” has come to an end and the winners of have been announced.

Here is the list of winners of the festival:

International Competition:
Grand Prix of the international competition of the festival was awarded to producer Joe Tunda Wa Munga’s film: "Congo in four acts". Prize for Best Directorship was given to the director of Bosnia - Srdan Sarenac for his film "Village Without Women". Special prize of the jury was awarded to Kim Longinotto for her film "Pink saris". Diploma of the jury for innovation in the documentary was awarded the film "Green Wave" by Ali Samadi Ahadi.

National Competition:
Grand Prix of the national competition was awarded to Asel Zhuraeva’s film: "Road to Mecca", "Kyrgyzfilm” productions. The Incentive prize in the "Discovery of the festival" category was awarded to the film "Osh. Six months later," by Darya Sytenkova, production of PF "Door Media."The Incentive prize of the jury in the "Breakthrough" category was awarded to the film "Shoemaker" by Nurlan Razakulov, production of CDF.

Youth Competition:
Grand Prix of the youth competition of the festival was awarded to the film "Poster Girl" by Sara Nesson, (USA). Special Prize of the Jury was awarded to the film "Dancing boys of Afghanistan" by the film-director Jamie Doran (UK). Best Kyrgyzstanian film in this category was the film "Vicious Dream" by Nishana Zheenalieva and Aktan Ryskeldiev, production of "TAZAR" studio.

Kyrgyzstanian human rights activist Azimzhan Askarov, Evgeniy Zhovtis (Kazakhstan), and the famous human rights activist from Belarus Ales Beliatskiy were awarded the diploma "For Courage and Struggle for Freedom". All of them are currently in custody.














The diplomas and awards were presented to the winners at the end of the festival.

The festival "Bir Duino - Kyrgyzstan" was organized by the Human Rights Center "Citizens against corruption" with support of:
